The Women’s Board of Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is comprised of more than 150 talented and committed regular, honorary and sustaining members. Our activities seek to enhance the facilities and services of the hospital, helping to ensure that the highest quality of healthcare is available. Over the past 77 years The Board has raised more than $15 million in support of Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital.

Fundraising continues to be an important and successful aspect of The Women’s Board’s role at Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital. Fundraising events include the Annual Benefit and Holiday Boutique. We have a long history of supporting the hospital through The Women’s Board of Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital Grants Initiative, our Annual Appeal and scholarships.​

As Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital undergoes a major expansion — adding two new pavilions and 96 patient beds — strategic planning is already shaping the future of cardiology services. Key priorities include growing interventional services, increasing cardiac capabilities and optimizing surgical suites to support more advanced interventions.

Support from The Women’s Board will help fund the full renovation of an existing operating room and the addition of a new, state-of-the-art operating room. These surgical suites will be equipped to support robotic and minimally invasive procedures across multiple specialties, including cardiovascular, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics and surgical oncology. Key priorities include growing interventional services, increasing cardiac capabilities and optimizing surgical suites to support the addition of cardiac surgery later this year.
